My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Biggie G! I was rescued with my mother and 11 siblings! We had been trying to survive in not so great conditions. We had both internal and external parasites and unfortunately 2 of my siblings didn’t survive. Thankfully the rest of us are doing well! I’m the biggest boy of the litter and I am currently being fostered with my brother, Wee who is the runt of the litter and is also thriving! I have a lot of energy and love playing with kitty toys and other playful cats. I was fostered with several adult/senior cats and senior dogs who I get along great with. My brother Wee and I would be an amazing pair to adopt together, otherwise I’d prefer to at least have another cat companion to spend my days with in my forever home!

Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
