Roxy is a spirited and affectionate dog looking for her paw-fect home! Since arriving at the shelter, she has charmed shelter staff with her wiggly posture, wagging tail, and eagerness for attention. Roxy is always excited to meet new people, leaning into pets and staying relaxed and friendly during handling.
This lively girl loves outdoor adventures, but she’s a strong puller on the leash and will benefit from training to improve her leash manners. Roxy is playful and energetic, enjoying runs and games of fetch. While she may lose interest in toys quickly, she’s all about bonding with her humans, often seeking their attention instead.
Roxy is food-motivated and eats well, showing no aggression around her meals. She allowed her bowl to be taken but felt uncertain when approached directly overhead. With gentle guidance, Roxy will build confidence in these moments.
When interacting with other dogs, Roxy has a friendly and curious demeanor, though she may need slow introductions to build trust. She’s not reactive and easily refocuses on her environment.
Roxy is a wonderful mix of energy and affection, making her an excellent companion for an active adopter who can continue her training and give her the love she craves. If you’re ready for a fun-loving, loyal dog, Roxy is waiting to meet you!
