My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy and Ruby are a bonded pair of bunnies looking for a forever home together! At approximately 4 years old, Daisy is a playful Rex and Ruby is a fluffy Lionhead. These two are social, confident, and full of personality, but like most bunnies, they can be a bit shy at first and may take some time to warm up to new people. Once they feel comfortable, they're affectionate and love spending time with their humans.

These two big girls share a deep bond and love each other dearly. They'll even squeeze into the same hiding spot to stay close! Daisy and Ruby are looking for a home that can offer them plenty of space to hop around, as well as lots of enrichment to keep their curious minds engaged and happy. They thrive on stimulation and are happiest when they have room to explore and plenty of toys and activities to enjoy.

If you're ready to provide a loving and spacious home for these sweet, cuddly bunnies, Daisy and Ruby would be thrilled to meet you! Please submit an application to the Shuswap branch through the link below, or contact the shelter at (250) 832-7376 or shuswap@spca.bc.ca with questions.

*Please note, photos of the enclosure will be requested upon receipt of your application.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
