Fiyero is a smol cuddly boy with a heart full of love to give. Though a bit nervous in the shelter environment, he’s quick to show his sweet personality once he feels safe. He enjoys staying close to his people, soaking up pets and ear rubs, and offering plenty of snuggles in return.
Outside, Fiyero’s true spirit shines—his tucked tail soon unfurls into happy wags as he explores and takes in the world. He’s eager to please, sits politely for treats, and is always grateful for affection. This young pup is ready to leave shelter life behind for a home where he can build his confidence, gain a little weight, and thrive as the loving companion he’s meant to be.

12/1/24 volunteer notes: Fiyero is a little nervous being at ACCT but once outside he’s very grateful for love and pets and snuggles. It was dark out when we took him outside and his tail was tucked until we got to the yard. But once in the yard, he has to unfurl his tail so he could wag it! He was very sweet and friendly. He sat for treats and snuggled in for pets and kisses. This guy could use a couple of extra pounds on his ribs. He still has his young innocent puppy energy of being eager to please and a little uncertain about this thing called life. Fiyero would love for his forever family to make shelter life a thing of the past and to help grow his confidence so he can be the sweet, loving dog he’s meant to be.

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 17,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
In addition to animal control and sheltering, ACCT Philly is open 365 days a year for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly also supports a foster care program where community members provide temporary homes for sheltered animals and one of the (if not THE) most extensive rescue partnership program in the country where approved rescue partners accept ACCT Philly animals into their adoption programs. Under contract ACCT Philly’s Animal Control Officers provide animal control services and code enforcement.
