My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good Morning! My name is Nila. I am a sweet little gal that is looking for a new home. Surprisingly, even as young as I am, I have already had one owner and I am looking for another one! My first owner just didn’t realize how much time a puppy took! Also her job was requiring her to travel a lot which left me alone or being boarded. Soooo she “rethought” pet ownership and decided that she didn’t have the time for a pet. Now the shelter is helping me find a new home. I am a terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations for my age, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. If you decide to adopt me, please remember I am still young and I will need training in good doggie manners, lots of exercise, and a ton of love. Do you have time for a cute puppy like me?

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
