My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR Welcomes QUAID into the safety of the rescue!!

THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT

**************
Happy Holidays! My name is Quaid and I'm the most handsome 1yr old male black sable Malinois you'll ever meet! I'm located near Nashville TN and will be available for transport.

Here are some fun facts about me & my ideal home!

1. I am an athletic & active boy. I need to be adopted by someone who is familiar with working line dogs (Malinois/German Shepherds) and can help me live my life to the fullest.

2. I'm friendly, playful, and have a very high energy level. I need a home with a large fenced in yard to run and play in. I need to get all my energy out, a tired pup is a good pup!

3. I play great with other large breed female dogs. It would be best for me to be in a home with *no* small dogs or cats.

4. I would LOVE to have a job and receive ongoing training. Obedience, both basic & advanced, and any specialized training would be amazing for me! I'm ultra smart & will learn anything you can teach me!

5. If you train me, I'll prove I'm the smartest and bestest boy around. It will make your neighbor Bob jealous that you have the most well behaved pup on the block.

6. Do you like walking, running, hiking, exploring, or chasing waterfalls? I do too! We could go together and have all sorts of adventures.

7. I hope you are my perfect forever home for the holidays. I am the most handsome & bestest boy, I just need some training, love, & lots of treats!

More about this rescue

Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue started in 2011 rescuing German Shepherds and High Content Mixes from the Imminent Danger where they were sitting on Death Row in High Kill Animal Control Facilities in TN, NC, SC,KY, VA, GA & AL. Over 1000 Dogs lives have been spared and we've never worked so hard in our lives to save these wonderful kids. Our process from saving these kids includes 30 years of experience in working breed dogs. We conduct Safer Tests with all dogs to determine the abilities of the dogs so that we can match the right dog to the right family. We do not shove our dogs out the door. We do multiple videos of the dogs as well to our potential adopters. We disclose all positive and negative behavior traits so our adopters can work on any training the dog may need. IDGSR starts the rehabilitation and training with these wonderful kids and our adopters are part of the team of folks who help to ensure these kids will never suffer another day of hardship in their lives again. IDGSR will not take Aggressive Dogs into the Rescue.
If you have ever loved a German Shepherd then you will know where our hearts are to save these dogs from a certain death. It is our goal to save more but we need wonderful qualified families who want to save a life and welcome a new family member. We continue the work with our adopters even after adoption, we help with training and advice and counsel. IDGSR's staff look forward to hearing from you. Help us to find your new devoted and loyal best friend.
