What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This is an abandoned dog we believed was dumped near McClaren Park in San Francisco. He walked into my friends garage which was open and was very friendly and playful. She called SFACC but they could not pick him up that day. I kept him at my home that first night. The next day we checked for a chip. No chip. He is at SFACC now but they say he can not be placed in the adoption center because he has displayed anxiety which I'm pretty sure is just from being in the shelter. He was very sweet and playful for the time we spent with him. SFACC says he appears to be about 2 y/o and was ok with other dogs. My friend and I are doing our best to find a foster or adoptee posting on multiple social media platforms. SFACC is trying to find a no kill shelter, but as of today has not. If they cannot relocate him, he will be euthanized. My friend and I both cannot foster or adopt at this time unfortunately, but believe he would be a great pet with some training.
