Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Kai is a very smart dog. He's familiar with hand signals and will watch your 6 when you're in public. He takes treats very gentle and will wait for you to say, "take" to take his treat. His favorite thing to do is play tug of war! Kai also likes to sing when you get him riled up to play! He loves the dog park, but he does not do well with dogs indoors. When we took him to Pet Suites here in Virginia Beach, he tried to dominate other dogs. We believe he doesn't do well mainly with female dogs, so if you were to adopt Kai and try another dog, I would suggest a dog that matches his weight and energy and have a male dog. If you have children, Kai is gentle around babies, but he doesn't understand his size around toddlers and up. So older children would be preferred. He's a great dog, but after injuring our other dog, we unfortunately have to rehome him. He's also great with cats! He snuggles with them and sometimes shares his treats with them.
