My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I am Skeeter! You can see that I am gorgeous, but I really have not let that get to my head. I am very sweet and would love to be your buddy!
My favorite things to do include sunbathing, playing with a toy mouse or string toy, eating treats, eating food, eating catnip, and more napping. When I am feeling frisky, I will play all by myself and have the time of my life. I have recently been going to the spa - it's a place where my fur gets brushed and my shoulders get massaged. I love it!
I am a very good boy who uses the litter box, scratches the scratching post, and will always remind you when feeding time is close. I will sleep next to you in the big bed if you let me, and will not even make a sound.
I have a little lump on my forehead. The vet says it is not anything to worry about and it does not hurt me.
I came in with my brother Scooter, and it would be nice if we could stay together, but we can be separated, too.
I am good with dogs and other cats, too! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationNovember 30, 2024, 6:13 am

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
