Marty is a 7-month-old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. He weighs about 5 lbs.and has long legs, a long tail and large ears. Marty has the most soulful blue eyes that no one can resist, and he loves to snuggle and take long naps. He is doing well with his house training; if his foster mom doesn’t get him outside quickly enough, he will go in the bathroom and use the potty pad. He loves everyone he meets, including children. He does not like being crated but eventually settles down. He still has a way to go with his leash training. He is eager to please and would be fine as an only dog, or with other calm dogs. He loves toys and Nyla bones. When he plays, he sometimes sounds ferocious, but he is gentle; it’s just a little Chiweenie trash talk.

More about this rescue
We are a non sheltered rescue and are all volunteers. We have around 24 foster parents who take animals into their homes. Many of animals come to us in very bad condition. The foster parents work on house training, socializing them and getting them ready for their "forever home".
We make sure we represent them as they are, both positive and negatives and match the pet with the home. First and foremost we are concerned about the animals in our care and promise them a carefully screened very good home where they will be a member of the family.
