Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Speckles came by his name because of the speckles on his chest and paws. He’s a two-year-old approximately 60 pound terrier pit that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/29. He’s very lively and enthusiastic. He loved the freedom of being in the yard and ran back-and-forth. He appears to love everyone. He would do best with an active family. He gets so excited he does jump on you. However, with a stern retort he does get down. He does want to please. He knows the sit command and most of the time takes treats gently. He’s highly motivated by treats so he should be very easy to train. When he was across the yard, I called him and he came running. He’s very alert, curious and investigated the yard. He’s also very playful, joyous, and friendly. He seeks affection. He had a strong pull on the leash, but then he wanted to get outside. He was not interested in meeting other dogs, but I didn’t notice any aggression either. He would benefit from a yard to romp in but would want to spend most of his time inside so he could love on his new family.
