My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Shy - Affectionate - Sweetheart ** Drogo is a gentle guy who prefers quiet over chaos. This reserved senior cat would thrive with a patient family in a dog-free home. He is quick to purr and sometimes playful. Drogo prefers gentle stroking pets over lots of squishy snuggles. Come and meet this handsome boy, we know you'll fall in love!

Thanks to the Aleece Runge Fund for Senior Cats, Drogo will receive special pre-adoption medical screening and dental care; a take-home package that includes a heated bed and a month's supply of food and medication (if needed); and post-adoption financial support of up to $1,000 per year to help cover future veterinary expenses. Drogo's adoption fee is waived.

HOW TO MEET ME: This kitty is currently in a foster home. To start the adoption process for them, please APPLY ONLINE - applications are reviewed in the order received. After you apply, we may contact you to schedule a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet at the foster parent's residence. Please wear a mask if you are feeling unwell. If you then decide to adopt, you'll complete an adoption counseling session and we'll schedule a pickup appointment. Adoption pick-ups may happen from the foster's residence.

Additional adoption info

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on individual donations, grants, and our own fundraising to operate. We receive no federal, state, or government funding.

Adoption fees help offset some of the costs associated with providing for the cats and kittens in our care—this includes housing, medical care, enrichment, behavior modification, and more.

CAT uses variable adoption pricing. The adoption fee for each cat is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, health, and demand.

Adoption fees range from $15 to $200 for cats (1 year old and above) and $100 to $200 for kittens (2-11 months old). Thanks to the Aleece Runge Fund for Senior Cats, the adoption fee for all cats 8 years and older is waived. The adoption fee for each cat is included in their pet bio.

Adoption discounts apply for adopting a pair of cats or kittens. For details about our adoption process, please visit: https://catadoptionteam.org/adopt/process-fees

More about this shelter

Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the Pacific Northwest’s largest non-profit, limited-admission cat shelter with its own full-service on-site veterinary hospital. CAT works with our community to find loving placement for homeless cats and kittens in need. The cats available for adoption from CAT come to us through public surrender and through partnerships with other shelters, rescue groups, and veterinary offices. CAT works to take in cats that might otherwise be euthanized. With the support of our CAT community, we help about 3,000 cats find new homes each year, plus offer low-cost spay/neuter and other services to support cats and their families. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us save lives!
