My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brittany is a 2-year-old beautiful long-haired, green-eyed tabby girl.
She is friendly and social, likes company and being around people. She enjoys to watch birds out the window and to bask in the sun.
Brittany loves it when one has a conversation with her, tilting her head and listening.
She likes petting in short doses, as she is still a little shy and needs time to develop trust with a person. She can become irritable if one doesn't pay attention to her signals.
She is a very curious, lively and fun-loving cat who likes to know what is going on, play, climb up on cat trees and be where her people are.

Brittany is not fond of other pets and would love a home where she is the only animal. She will be a wonderful companion to a person or family who knows how to handle a kitty patiently who might have had scary experiences in her young life.

Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a "same day" adoption shelter. To adopt from Kingdom Animal Shelter:
Complete an adoption application and authorization for release of information form and bring them to the Shelter during adoption hours or email them to adoptions@kingdomanimalshelter.com or mail them in to P.O. Box 462, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819. The application and release of information forms are available at http://www.kingdomanimalshelter.com/available-cats.html or you can pick them up from the shelter during adoption hours.
An adoption counselor will review your application, contact 1-2 personal references and contact your veterinarian for a reference. Additionally, if you are a renter, we will contact your landlord for permission to have an animal in the household.
Please allow at least 3 business days for the process to be completed.
After the review is complete, the adoption counselor will contact you, generally by e mail or by phone.
You will be notified if your application is approved or declined.
If the application is approved, you will work with the adoption counselor to work out a mutually agreed upon time and date for you to take your cat home.
