Age: 3 months (as of 11/26/24)
Weight: 10 pounds (as of 11/21/24)
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Sister is a delightful young puppy who may be a Chiweenie mix. She was found abandoned in a culvert near a farm and is now living in an active foster home with an adult couple, a school age son, a young teen daughter, two dogs, and farm animals. She is a happy girl and gets along well with absolutely everyone.
Sister is very playful and will bark sometimes, but she is also responsive to corrections. At first, she was frightened when she was left alone, but she is doing much better and is fine in a gated room for a few hours. She has learned how to use a doggy door. She loves to cuddle with her people but also enjoys tug-o-war and chase with her canine pals. Sister loves all kinds of toys, too! She has spent almost no time with cats, so we do not know how she does with them, but we have no reason to believe that there will be any issues.
She is an unusually quick learner and is already making incredible progress with her housebreaking and crate-training. She has not learned how to walk on a leash yet. Like many puppies, she can be a scamp, and she has already figured out how to climb over a baby gate. She can be a bit hyper, and will jump on guests and furniture, but that is normal for her age. We recommend training for all of our puppies, and Sister is so smart that she is likely to be a big star in her obedience classes.
Sister is an affectionate and outgoing puppy who is going to be a wonderful addition to her new family!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
