My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Raven, a shy puppy whose early life was filled with hardship. She was let down by humans. Raven came into shelter a terrified, shut down baby who had never known love from people. She did her best to disappear in her kennel, tucking herself under the water bowl to avoid whatever terrible treatment she was expecting from people. And without a foster stepping up for her, that would have been her sad ending. But now in her foster home, Raven is learning that kindness exists—and she’s slowly learning to trust, one treat at a time.

Raven loves playing with other dogs, especially her favorite game of keep-away—she’ll prance around the yard with a toy, daring her friends to join the chase. Her dog friends also help her build her confidence around people, showing her that humans are not all bad, and that a lot of humans come with treats! Raven is very food-motivated, and earning her trust is helped along by offering her a steady supply of snacks! She’s also cat-friendly, crate-trained, and thrives with a consistent routine that helps her feel safe.

This sweet girl is available for an adopter or a foster to adopt home, and she’s looking for someone who understands the special bond that forms when you earn a timid dog’s trust. If you’re ready to give her the love and security she’s been waiting for, Raven will reward you with a lifetime of devotion.

Are you the one to show Raven what a forever home feels like?

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
