My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ideal Home: Big windows and loving purr-rents. Must have another cat in the home.

Qualities: Playful, Energetic, Silly, World Renowned Bird Watcher

Gordito is a gorgeous polydactyl cow cat who loves to play and cuddle with his feline friends! Just 15 weeks old, this cutie has lots of fun kitten energy and would love a cat friend to keep him company (did we mention his siblings are looking for a home too?!).

Gordito enjoys spending his days bird watching in his cat condo, snoozing in cozy beds, and investigating new things to zoom around with. He is a shy but a sweet boy who is getting comfier each day! e would do best with patient adopters who can continue to work with him. He loves playing with his wand toys with his foster humans, and never says no to a delicious churro snack!

Gordito has his bags packed and is ready to come home. He is now accepting adoption applications, available below!

*Gordito has an appointment in Providence, Rhode Island for his neuter on December 9, 2024. This appointment is included in the cost of adoption, but the adopter is responsible for getting the cat to/from the appointment (8 am drop off, 2 pm pick up).

We are unable to reschedule this due to the limited availability of low-cost spay/neuter appointments. If you cannot accommodate this appointment, we ask that you consider adopting a kitty that is already spayed/neutered.

___________________________

Spay & Neuter Disclosure:

To facilitate adoptions and open more foster space, this kitten is being adopted with a spay-neuter adoption agreement. An appointment for services has been scheduled and the adopter will be responsible for transportation and post-surgical care. Appointment information will be provided during the application process and the spay/neuter cost is inclusive of the adoption fee. The adopter is responsible for providing an e-collar and monitoring the incision site for infection. Any post-surgical complications are the responsibility of the adopter and should be treated by the adopter's vet.

If you are unable to accommodate a weekday appointment, we kindly ask that you consider another adoptable cat who is already spayed or neutered.

Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/

Please Note:

If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed.

About Ten Lives:

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.

Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!

All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
