My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Best Match:

  • Seeking an adopter with moderate cat experience

  • Will be most comfortable in a quiet, adult only home

  • Prefers a home without dogs

  • May be okay with other cats

  • Needs to be indoor only

  • Takes daily medication and a wet food only diet, to keep her happy and healthy

Gorgeous, loving Alabama may be the tortie you've been waiting for. This talkative little sweetheart loves playing, particularly with her stuffed mouse, which she carefully and exuberantly stalks, catches, and gives a solid kicking to before alerting everyone of her kill by parading it around the room and letting off a series of short meows. She also loves playing with her rainbow ribbon toy, assisted by her people. When moving to a new place and meeting new people, she will require a little patience and understanding, so she can adjust to the new environment.

Alabama suffered a fractured pelvis when she was a kitten. Because of this, she takes medication regularly, but is quite happy to wolf it down with dinner. Her previous injury also makes her wary of touch, particularly on her back side. Despite this wariness, however, she is very affectionate and will flop to the ground and make air biscuits if she hears her name repeated a few times. She loves rubbing her head against chair legs, couches, and even people legs (if she does this, you may reach down and gently give her head a few pets).

At dinner time, Alabama may give out a sigh and a small groan if her meal is late, but she's not a fussy lady and understands that some meals take longer to prepare than others. Once she's done with her meal, she indulges in a long, thorough bath before settling in for nap time (if she just ate breakfast) or turning into a sweet tortie loaf hanging with her people before bed (after dinner).

Alabama is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form!
