MEET SMOKEY! Smokey is a beautiful and sweet, sweet, sweet German Shepherd in need of a foster or forever home. She was brought to a high-kill shelter after her owner died, and this was a very sad turn of events for Smokey. She is loving and gentle with people, and good with other dogs. We have an extensive application and spend time with potential applicants to make sure we match people with the right dogs. We also have a 100% return policy as we understand sometimes adoptions just do not work out.

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is an active 501(c)(3) animal rescue based in Ventura, Calif. We rescue dogs and cats primarily from overcrowded California shelters, and do our best to find wonderful homes for them. We also take in many owner surrenders every year. We adopt dogs to people in many states, and have a high success rate with our adoptions. We do our best to match people with the right dogs.
