Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.
A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known.
Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.
Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list.
thanks

Date into Rescue:10/5/24
Reason for being in rescue: Found as a stray by good Samaritans. he was running with a doodle
Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC
Special Needs? Please note - we have a discrepancy on his exam records. Our vet is on vacation and unreachable to Monday. We believe the wrong dog was documented on Mike's records as there are two exams. The second one shows a healthy, unremarkable dog and we believe this is Mike. We think we have a computer glitch. Noting now in case he is adopted before our vet can look at records.
Weight: 10.6 lbs
Height: 12 in est at shoulder
Spayed/Neutered: yes

Fence needed? No, but a fenced in yard is a great safety feature for any dog.
What kind of home would be best for me? Say hello to Mike your new forever best friend! Mike is a little bundle of sweetness with a big personality. He’s affectionate, curious, and always eager to get close to his people. His ideal day - curling up next to you for some quality cuddle time, followed by a bit of exploring or a nap in the sunshine. Mike loves being the center of attention and will shower you with affection whether you're on the couch, hanging out at home, or going about your day. A true people-pleaser, Mike is always ready with tail wags and gentle nuzzles to show just how much he loves being around you.
Mike would be happy as your one-and-only pet, soaking up all your love and affection. But if you already have a dog, don't worry—Mike would also love a canine companion to share in playtime and cuddle sessions. He thrives on companionship and affection, so whether he's your solo sidekick or part of a multi-pet household, Mike will be a joyful, devoted companion.
Mike is as adaptable as they come. His small size makes him a great fit for apartment living, but he’ll also thrive in a house with a backyard to explore. Mike is happy wherever he goes—as long as there’s love and someone to snuggle with. He’s perfect for single individuals, couples, or families. He’s a sweet little guy who just wants to be close to his people and share his love. Whether you're working from home or heading out for errands, Mike will be your trusty sidekick, happy to tag along for any adventure—whether it’s a trip to the store, a visit to the café, or a simple drive down the road.
What is my personality like? Handsome little Mike loves all his caregivers and gets along well with the other dogs here. He's a little love bug. Mike’s dream is to find a family or person who will love him as much as he loves them. He is a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be at your side, sharing in all of life’s moments. Mike’s heart may be small in size, but it’s overflowing with affection and devotion. Mike is a loyal, loving dog who will be by your side through thick and thin, always ready to brighten your day.
If you’re looking for a devoted, happy little dog full of life and love, Mike is the perfect fit. This sweet boy’s heart is just as big as his desire to be your best friend for life.
How do I act when I first meet new people? When Mike meets new people, he’s nothing short of excited! He loves meeting new friends and is quick to soak up all the attention and affection they have to offer. Mike's favorite way to bond is by sitting with you, snuggling up, and enjoying some one-on-one time. He is a happy, affectionate little guy who thrives on positive interactions and companionship.
Other tips and tidbits: Mike was found as a stray so we have absolutely no history on him. Based on his overall health and condition, we estimate he is 2 years old. We celebrate his birthday 11/15/2022.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.
To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application.
Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
Thank you for considering CPR.
