My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Usa!

Usa is a charming black and white bunny with a personality as unique as his striking coat. His sleek black fur is accented by eye-catching white spots and delicate flecks of white hairs throughout. Usa is a sociable little guy who loves spending time with our staff, and he's always eager for a bit of company. He would do great in a home with children and other animals.

One of his favorite pastimes is jumping onto the little perches in his room, where he surveys his surroundings with curiosity and enthusiasm. Usa has a big appetite and is especially fond of fresh greens (romaine lettuce is a great choice!) and timothy hay. He's also a huge fan of cilantro and can't resist his special dried strawberry treat or the occasional blueberry!

If you're thinking about giving Usa a new home, it's important to know he's quite the jumper - he can clear 4 feet if he's in the mood for an adventure. So, if his setup includes an x-pen, make sure it's a tall one!

Usa is ready to hop into his forever home and bring lots of joy, companionship, and adorable bunny energy. If you think you could be his perfect match, come meet him!

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
