Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Hi! This beautiful girl is Amelia (aka Blue), because check-out those captivating eyes!! Her story begins a little sad as she was abandoned by her previous owner as she was found tied up in their apartment all alone after they were evicted. Despite this, she is so loving, has that youthful puppy energy, and seeks affection!
Blue LOVES to play with squeaky toys (no destructive behavior), meet new people, and be outside where she can run. She is independent in playing with toys, but she will follow me around everywhere because she's very curious. She is somewhat vocal - some whining, barking when she spots interesting things out the window or on walks, during chase play, or when you are eating food. However, she is responsive to my verbal reprimand (I have shared walls / apartment).
She is crate trained and she is doing well on potty training as she's veryyy food motivated and intelligent! She does keep her crate dry and sleeps quietly in it during the night too.
Of note, she exhibits resource guarding with other dogs (not people/me) when toys and food are around so this is something that to be cautious of. Regardless, she enjoys playing with other dogs (as long as she's not cornered) and will be submissive when other dogs come on strongly. I feel she could live with other dogs if her forever family is mindful of this fact and patient in training, or she could thrive as a solo dog. It is unknown how she does with cats or younger kids. Since she is still a bit of a puppy, she does like to bite during play.
Her quirks: Those floppy ears, light snoring sometimes (so cute!), and she gives kisses in the form of a 'wet willy' LOL.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
