My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Big Lake, MN

Meet Topeka! We call her Mama.
Topeka is about 1 year old and was found as a stray with her 2 babies. We dont know much about her past, but there are clear signs that she has had it rough.

This ungodly sweet girl deserves all the best things in life. Including a family to call her own. She is extremely shy and cowers down when you try to pet her at first, but with time and patience and a lot of treats she starts to open up and show you how wonderful she can be.

She has found her comfy spot on the couch where she enjoys watching out the window. She absolutely loves squeaky toys.

She is still unsure of other dogs and cats, but that is most likely because she is still on guard around her puppies. She is potty trained and tho she has a kennel she doesn't use it. She does however take comfort in her area that is set up for her. She has made that her safe space. With being so unsure about everything she doesn't really like to leave her safe space unless she is going outside.

If you are looking for a diamond in the rough, you have found her. She is going to be one of the best companions ever if you have the love and patience she needs.

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
