Squatty: short and sturdy or thickset, often wider than it is tall.
Temperance might not be wider (everywhere) than she is tall but her neck and waist are the same size. We will lump that into the squatty category. She is perfection in a square body. Temperance likes to have a good time and can do it anywhere. A little rain won't dampen her day. Temperance knows commands and gives her paw while standing. She loves to zoom and loves to meet new people. She is wonderful!

Came in as a stray on 11/14/24.

Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.

Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
