My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You’re about to hit the jackpot with Alfie, the goofiest, most lovable boy you’ll ever meet! This 2-year-old possible Pitbull-Lab mix is a total heart-stealer, with his golden-brindle coat and soft, soulful eyes that’ll have you instantly smitten. But Alfie’s magic is far more than just looks—he’s a bundle of pure love, joy, and cuddles waiting to bring endless happiness to your home.

Get to know Alfie here: https://youtu.be/4iqSfWJztXo?feature=shared

This sweet boy is all about spreading love and affection, and when he’s not busy charming everyone he meets, you’ll find him snuggled up next to you, begging for belly rubs and doling out kisses. Alfie lives for cuddles, and once you experience his warm, goofy energy, you’ll wonder how you ever got by without him.

And talk about fun! Whether he’s fetching a ball, swimming, or mastering the art of sliding down the swing set (yes, this boy loves the swing set!), Alfie’s playful spirit will fill your days with laughter. He’s fantastic with kids (recommended for those 7 and up due to his size), great with other dogs, and even cat-approved by the Three Little Pitties behavior team. We believe that Alfie could live with dog-savvy kitties. With proper introductions, he’ll settle in perfectly, no matter what kind of furry family members he might be joining.

Alfie’s dream home includes a playful female dog who shares his love for fun and companionship. He’s a true family man and would thrive in a home with kids who can match his boundless enthusiasm. If you have a cat, Alfie could settle in well with one who’s more avoidant, giving everyone the space they need. And for his outdoor adventures? Alfie would absolutely adore a yard to roam, play, and call his very own.

This adventure-loving pup is always up for a hike, a camping trip, or a long walk around the neighborhood. He’s excellent in the car and learning to walk like a gentleman on a leash, making him the perfect partner for family outings. And when the day’s adventures are done, Alfie will be right there for snuggles and belly rubs.

While Alfie is potty trained and has mastered crate training, he’ll thrive with a family committed to continuing his training and socialization. He’s still young, and with your love and guidance, he’s going to blossom into the most well-mannered and affectionate dog you could ever imagine. And trust us—he’ll thank you with endless kisses and unwavering loyalty.

If you’re ready to add a loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining companion to your family, Alfie is your guy. We’ll work with you to make sure he’s the perfect fit for your home—just let us know what you need to make the magic happen!

With love and tail wags,
Alfie’s Friends at Three Little Pitties Rescue

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
