Duncan isn’t just any dog—he’s the dog. The one who will fill your life with love, joy, and unforgettable adventures. This 2-year-old Brindle Shepherd-Pit mix has a heart as big as his dreams of finding the perfect family. Like all great rescues, his exact breed and age are a bit of a mystery, but his pure goodness is undeniable.
From the moment you meet Duncan, his gentle and sweet nature will capture your heart. Our behavior team says he melts into their hands, savoring every ounce of love and affection. He thrives on connection and will be your most loyal companion, soaking up every hug, snuggle, and belly rub.
Duncan’s personality shines brightest when he’s in his element. He’s a fetch superstar with a ball, a water-loving adventurer who can’t resist a good swim, and a joy-filled spirit who would love nothing more than a yard to call his own. Whether it’s splashing in puddles or running through sprinklers, Duncan knows how to make every moment count.
This brilliant boy is eager to learn and highly food-motivated (treats and even ice cream are his favorites!). He’s made incredible progress with leash and crate training in his foster home and is fully house-trained, proving that he’s as smart as he is sweet.
Duncan’s ideal home is as special as he is. He dreams of a quiet neighborhood or the open space of farm life, where he can enjoy the calm surroundings and connect deeply with his people. He would thrive with a best friend or family who will shower him with love, take him to the beach, and include him in all life’s adventures. He adores kids but would do best with older ones (6+) who can match his playful energy. Cats? Not his vibe.
If you’re looking for more than just a dog—if you’re searching for a soul mate, a partner in crime, and a best friend who will cherish you as much as you cherish him—then Duncan is your boy.
This once-in-a-lifetime dog is ready to change your life forever. Let us know what you need to ensure he’s the perfect fit for your family, and we’ll make it happen. Don’t wait—Duncan is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories. 🐾

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
