My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

>> Courtesy Posting: Free to a Good Home <<

The animal is currently held at California K9 Academy Initiative.

Standard size beautiful German Shepherd Dog, a natural protection and guardian animal.
A loyal family companion needs time to bond with the new handler and their family members.
He is the ultimate security system!

Things to remember: dog park? No! This GSD is NOT dog park friendly; he is a working dog.
A possible guard dog: when walking in public, always keep 10 feet [3 meters] away from humans and animals.

When walking in a crowded area [avoid when possible], put yourself between the GSD and the rest of the public.

Again, this is not your average GSD or "socialized" GSD. Hunter was used to guard and protect his space and territory.

Please keep in mind, due to the recent shelter environment and prior abusive, harsh living conditions with the homeless handler; he may develop a selective leash reactive personality, which can be corrected given proper socialization with slow introduction and trust. Generally, it takes one to two years.
