My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cappa is currently in a foster home in Missouri and is doing AWESOME. She lives with dogs and dog savvy cats and gets along with everyone. Her friend Xander is in foster care there with her also and they have fun together. He is waiting to come to MN also. They are definitely young but out of the puppy stage. They chew on Bene bones and so far, not their beds. They are listening and catching on to rules and commands.

Cappa is submissive and eager to please and likes to sleep in her kennel. She is potty trained and is great with the grandkids. She is just an all-round sweet girl. She’s very sensitive in wanting to do right and learning simple commands. She is potty trained and rides well in the car.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
