My name is Vereen!

Meet Vereen, or we call him Boone. He is a Lab mix born 7/9/23!  He is such a handsome guy. He is also very smart too. He had a rough upbringing but is gaining a lot of confidence. He knows his basic commands and is learning how to “sit” at the door and how to “wait” and “Go ahead” for his food. He is house trained and crate trained. He hasn’t been around cats but might be too much for them. He does prefer smaller dogs over bigger ones and gets along with all my foster puppies. Boone is a big guy weighing in around 75-80lbs and is pure muscle. He does have some quirks that we are working on and will need someone that can help him overcome his quirks. He tends to lean towards females only as males scare him. It does take him a little time, patience and lots of treats to get used to people. Slow introductions are best with him. Once he gets used to you, he will be your best friend. We don’t know what happened when he was younger but he is afraid of personal touch. It will take him a little time to allow love but once he asks for it, he won’t stop. He loves to lean into you and get love once he knows you. Boone LOVES to be outside. Just give him a huge bone and some balls and he will entertain himself all day outside. He would do best with a fenced in yard and a tall(6’) fence. If you are looking for a big guy to love, then Boone is your guy!
