Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our handsome Elmer is bursting with charm and charisma! He is a good-natured comedian who has traversed the Rescue Process like a spirited game of hopscotch in which every stop is a grand opportunity to explore the Universe.
We don’t know Elmer’s history, but if anything bad happened to him, he shook it off in no time. He shows no behavioral evidence of trauma, although he has a suspiciously docked tail that can signify a Hunter’s preference. We know that he was found as a country stray by the Greene County Animal Control Officers in North Carolina. No Owner claimed him.
Elmer’s bum luck finally improved when our shelter contact transferred him to our care. Due to his stellar temperament and personality, Elmer has become one of the superstars in our big dog playgroup. He loves all the dogs that he has met here!
Now, it is time for Elmer to live a life of his own, one where the human-dog ratio is more reasonable. He is so full of life and personality, and at just 8 months old, he still has a bit of the puppy Mojo going on. Elmer is like a kid in a candy shop, soaking up new experiences with sheer glee. He is a super dog that would do well in any type of environment.
Elmer appears to be a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He lives up to their lovable reputation. He is a medium sized dog, at a lean weight of 45 pounds. His short, flat tri-colored coat is easy to groom with minimal shedding. Elmer has a big, goofy personality and he loves to play.
Elmer is a very happy-go-lucky guy, and would be a great addition to an active family with older, dog savvy kids. He is friendly and will give everyone in the family equal attention. Elmer is not one to play favorites, and he is very stranger friendly.
He could also join an active single or couple, who can provide at least one to two brisk leash walks daily, as well as focussed play time so that Elmer can get the exercise that he needs to get his yayas out.
Elmer has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new home. He has been neutered, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings.
If you are interested in Elmer, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

When we receive your completed application we will check your references, including your veterinarian, and then call you to discuss your situation and requirements.. If you are approved for adoption, we can then discuss with you which of the dogs might fit best into your life. We will either arrange for you to visit the dog in its foster home, by appointment, or transport the dog to your home.
To help cover the veterinary expenses of our foster Eskies and to support our rescue effort, Eskies Online will charge you an adoption fee of $350.00. We do not sell dogs. We charge a flat fee--whether the Eskie is a puppy or an older dog; whether it came to us with minimal veterinary needs or requiring major medical care; whether the Eskie makes a short or a long stay in our foster system.
