Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gazoo is an adorable large-breed puppy with a big heart and even bigger potential! This high-energy boy is as sweet as can be but needs a dedicated and experienced home to guide him as he grows into his best self.
At just a few months old, Gazoo is still learning the ropes. He’ll need help mastering house training, basic obedience, leash manners, and consistent bathroom habits. Due to his puppy nature and desire to learn, he’ll need to be signed up for three mandatory in-person training sessions before heading to his forever home.
While Gazoo loves his people, he can be nervous in new situations and has some separation anxiety, so his adopter should be prepared to work on building his confidence and helping him feel secure.
Gazoo will grow to be a very large dog, so he’s best suited for a home with the time, space, and energy to keep up with his active lifestyle. If you’re ready for a rewarding adventure with a sweet pup who’ll adore you forever, Gazoo is waiting to meet you!
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Under-Socialized - Jumpy / Mouthy - Nervous / Shy - Little to no training
Explanation of Behaviours: - Young puppy that is high energy and needs plenty of attention, training, exercise and enrichment daily. - Will need to be worked and trained with to improve difficult behaviours such as mouthing and jumping. - A puppy that can be nervous and shy of new people and environments and will need their new family that will be patient and go slow with them. - They will need to be socialized a lot in a proper and safe way to help them be set up for success throughout their whole life ahead of them. Puppies need plenty of socialization but this should be done properly. Do not force them into situations but instead encourage them to have a positive experience with new things. Speak further with your trainer to ensure they are being socialized in all the right ways!
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - Lots of training - Lots of time and attention - Lots of socialization - Apartment or shared wall homes should be aware that they might be vocal when left alone and should have a plan in place to help with separation anxiety.
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners - Jumping up and mouthing - Socialization - including working on nervousness in new environments and situation

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
