My name is Lulu, and I'm a 2-year-old Husky girl looking for a patient and loving home. I can be a little shy at first, but don't let that fool you! Once I warm up to you (especially if you have some tasty treats!), I'm a total cuddle bug.

I came to the shelter a bit underweight, but thanks to the amazing medical team, I'm on the road to a healthy weight and feeling much better. I'm learning to trust again, and with a little time and understanding, I blossom into a loving companion.

My ideal family would be one that understands my need for space while I adjust, but also showers me with affection once I'm ready. I'm very food motivated, so training me should be a fun and rewarding experience for both of us!

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

For In-Person Adoptions at the Shelter, visit during open hours. For pets in foster care, apply on that pet at www.multcopets.org

Meet the Pet

At the shelter, adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adopters will not be able to submit applications to adopt animals in advance, or place adoption holds on animals.

Adopters will be able to meet a maximum of three (3) pets per visit, with ten (10) minutes per pet.
We will be unable to assist with pet-to-pet meets. Please keep your furry friends at home, adoptable pets will not be able to meet resident pets at the shelter.
Prepare enough time for your visit. Adopters should expect that it may be up to two (2) hours at the shelter to process an adoption, including meeting pets, an adoption consultation, and waiting periods. Wait times may be significantly longer on weekends.

Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) is the only open door shelter in Portland. We are the primary agency responsible for lost pet care, animal abuse investigations and animal rescue in Multnomah County. We also offer dog and cat licensing, lost and found pet services, and animal adoptions through our shelter in Troutdale. MCAS is a division of the Multnomah County Department of Community Services (DCS).
