My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️

Meet Bami🧡
He was staying in Korean city shelter. For some reason, he was afraid of people, and curled up every day in the corner of the cage without barking. Meanwhile, he caught the eye of a Adogs volunteer and was rescued with her help.

* Toward People: Likes people, but has a fear of people. Initially is shy to strangers, but approaches and smells them when he gets used to them. To familiar people, Waves his tail when familiar people return home and act cute, asking for being touched.
* Toward Dogs: Got along well with other dogs without any problems when he was staying at the shelter and the Center. Is also getting along well with foster home's dog. Appears to open his heart wide when he gets used to them.

* Separation Anxiety: Has a good rest at home, even when he is alone or left with a dog companion. Tends to smell every corner of the house and then lies flat on his stomach and rests well on his own.
* Potty Training: Is using potty pads with 90% sucess rate at the foster home and doesn't do indoor marking at all. However, if the circumstances change, he may need a little retraining until he gets used to it.
* Hygiene: Is patient with bathing, brushing, and toenail trimming. Does not like to get drying or be touched his front legs, so he is getting desensitization training.
* Walk: Is afraid of being caught, so needs training for a walk after constantly trust building. Is practicing walking for outdoor walks in his foster home.
* Carsickness: Can ride a car well without carsickness.

* Is scared of people, especially when their hands rise above his heads. You should be careful in a calm atmosphere and wait for him to slowly open up. Every time he gets used to it, he demonstrates the changes like staying around people, making eye contact and wagging his tail.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."
But once applicants pass zoom interview, we will connect adopter to foster team for the most up to date news as well as photos and videos. The adopter can post any questions and can make video call as well.
Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue

ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.

We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.

Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.

In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.

Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
