My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Polar Bear 🐾 - A Beautiful, Gentle Soul with a Heart as Big as Her Name! 💖

This stunning tan-colored girl is a loving and devoted mom who has taken great care of her puppies, showing the true meaning of nurturing love 👩‍👧‍👦💛. Now that her little ones are ready to spread their wings, Polar Bear is looking for a family who will shower her with the same affection and care she has given to her own 💕. Polar bear warms up to women quicker than men so she will need someone who's in it for the long run and would be able to visit her in the shelter a few times before taking her to her forever home. She would need a home WITHOUT children.

Polar Bear, or PB for short, is a sweet and affectionate dog who absolutely LOVES pets, cuddles with people she has grown to trust 🥰. PB is looking for Hoomans who'll introduce her to the world very slowly and will understand when she's reached her comfortability threshold. PB will need time and patience to explore the world, meeting new people and new neighborhoods.🐶💖🏡. She is fully house trained, doesn't chew when left alone and willingly goes into her crate. She has had success living with a cat. She's an amazing cuddler but loves to snore 👀 she enjoys traveling so she could be your new co-pilot! She is a very sensitive girly who will need lots of positive reinforcement! and to have a leader who will protect her so she doesn't feel the need to have her guard up all the time💖

If you're looking for a dog who will love you unconditionally and offer you all the snuggles and affection you could want, Polar Bear could be your perfect match! She'll greet you with such enthusiasm her tail wags her! 💫 Come meet her and see for yourself what an incredible companion she will be 🥳.

Give Polar Bear the forever home she deserves 🏠 - she's ready to give all of her love in return 💖✨.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
