Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Holly is a 2 y/o beagle mix who was rescued from the dumping grounds near Cleveland. She is around 16 inches tall and weighs around 25 pounds. Holly had a skin infection when she was rescued. Hair is already growing back in the shaved areas. Holly also tested positive for heart worms. She has completed a month of Doxycycline and will be adopted with several months of Advantage Multi to complete the slow kill treatment.
Holly arrived with good house manners and knew how to use a dog door. She rarely gets into anything that does not belong to the pack. She enjoys having toys to play with and delights in taking them out in the yard. She is currently enrolled in training classes where she is a rock star. She learns quickly and is eager to please!
Holly, like her sister Ivy, has worked through her possessive need to keep toys and people all to herself. She gets along well with her foster siblings and is learning to play wrestle, beagle style! She still acts protective of her kennel when waiting for food bowls to be prepared.
Holly is good around kids but still wants to jump up on you. She will need more work to control that urge. She craves attention from people and will soak up all the love you have to give. She will make a wonderful dog for a family that will be home often. Holly is a diamond in the rough!
