My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying.  Thank you for your cooperation.

NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

NEW INTAKE 11/26/2024:  Bower - male - approx 3 months old (approx DOB 9/3/2024) - 5.14 pounds - Yorkie/ Schnauzer mix

Reason for intake:  We were contacted by the neighbor of the owner of two puppies.  The neighbors worked all the time and just could not handle two puppies.  We made contact with the owner.  They decided to keep one puppy and surrender the other to us.  They have our number in case they decide at a later date to release the other.  Bower is the cutest and sweetest little boy.  He came with no provable vaccination history so we are starting from square one.  He got his first puppy vaccination, Bordetella and deworming.  In two weeks, he'll get another vaccination and then be sent to our vet for neutering (he does have his nuggets) and a fecal.  We microchipped him as well.  We will post him for adoption in a week or so but in the meantime go ahead and admire his cuteness.

NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416768288349589&type=3 OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi

Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
