Hi. My name is Dexter the Great (Dane). My human friends say I'm the most handsome, sweetest boy they know. My brother and I were left at a local shelter, and we waited anxiously for them to come back to get us, but they never did. My shelter friends were very nice, but can you imagine such big boys trying to live in kennels? Then, when I went to get neutered, there were some surgical complications and I almost died! You might say that I've had some rough times in the past, but I'm healthy as a horse now and living the good life with my foster mom and canine brothers, and am looking towards the future. Since I do love dogs so much, I'd love a home with a dog who will adopt me as a bestie. I love attention, and crave belly rubs and hugs from my foster Mom. At about 120 pounds, I'm the perfect bed warmer! I'm great with children and passed initial cat testing, though I'd need to meet more before moving in with a kitty.
