This gorgeous boy is Champ a 3-yr old Shepherd mix. Champ was taken from his home by the ACO for not being cared for properly. Champ has always lived with other dogs. He is said to be a true gentleman. Champ was treated for heartworm and is now healthy and ready for his family. This big guy with be in Maine on 12/7. He will be fostered in Lisbon.

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
