Marcel provided a life saving blood transfusion to another dog and was scheduled to be euthanized just days later when Wish was able to secure a foster family with literally no time left. His heroic journey isn't over yet because he's ready to be saved again by his forever family.

PERSONALITY: I'm pretty spoiled by my foster parents because they think I earned the special treatment. I love being outside, and could benefit from a moderately active family that let's me burn off energy although that's not an absolute requirement. A fenced in yard with no holes or gaps is a must since I enjoy my time outdoors. I also love to snuggle taking naps on the couch... and I snore! I am eager to please and love learning. But don't worry... I can be a pretty chill dude when it's needed too and will be extremely loyal to my people when I find them.
I excel at:
🚽 Potty Training - I've had one nervous accident in the entire time at my foster home. I always potty outside on a schedule.
🐾 Making friends with both dogs and tentatively cats... I have been living with two feline and one canine brothers. I am happy to have a playmate!
🧠 Learning new things - I already know Sit, Stay, and Paw/Shake. I'm very smart and *EXTREMELY* motivated by treats. I'm learning "crate" and those lessons are ongoing.
💤 Sleeping & cuddling... I'm crate trained and can sleep the whole night, relax during the work day, and take breaks/naps in my special space. I'm an excellent couch potato and cuddle bug as well. I especially enjoy watching TV.
🦛 Eating... I use a slow feeder bowl because I eat really fast. Ever seen hungry hungry hippos? Then you have the idea.
🧸 Toy destruction... I'm still a baby so I like to shred my toys, but they will be well used and loved before they go to the life beyond in the garbage. I especially like removing squeakers and chasing after balls.
HEALTH & GROOMING: My coat is short and very soft, but my foster parents haven't noticed any major shedding. I am up to date on all my vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
What will it take to make Marcel yours?

• I want to be the best pupper I can be. I love to learn!
• Patience & boundaries while I adjust and learn a new spaces and routines. This is required of every adopter, naturally.
• Someone with no personal space issues - I'm really good at giving unsolicited kisses and licks. I prefer to see my people, know what's going on, and want to be in on the fun... even if the fun is relaxing on the sofa.

• Fill out application and complete an interview with an Adoption Counselor
• Make WISH personnel aware that the animal will be a gift
• If required for the specific animal, allow a home for introduction to the home, all family members, and any furry friends living in your residence
• Disclose to WISH if other animals in household are not spayed or neutered
• Live within an hour drive of our foster homes
