Pumpkin pies and kitten eyes, it's impossible not to fall in love with our Alya! This 5 month old girl is extra special, and perfect in every way. Alya was found outdoors, and after arriving to Ten Lives we discovered she was born without an ulna in both front legs. What does that mean? Simply that her front legs turn in and she paddles them when she walks. It does not seem to interfere in her ability to get around or play, and she can still get in and out of the litter box just fine!
Alya is a relaxed and happy kitten, looking for an equally cool, calm and collected home. She seems to enjoy quiet time away from her energetic siblings, but loves to play with soft toys on her own terms. Her other hobbies include napping, hanging with cat friends, and finding the comfiest bed in the house. She is shy at first, but like most of us very sweet when she settles in.
Alya is ready to find her match, and she hopes that is with you. Applications are available below, she hopes you will fill one out today!
Alya has an appointment in Providence, Rhode Island for her spay on December 16, 2024. This appointment is included in the cost of adoption, but the adopter is responsible for getting the cat to/from the appointment (8 am drop off, 2 pm pick up).
We are unable to reschedule this due to the limited availability of low-cost spay/neuter appointments. If you cannot accommodate this appointment, we ask that you consider adopting a kitty that is already spayed/neutered.

Spay & Neuter Disclosure:
To facilitate adoptions and open more foster space, this kitten is being adopted with a spay-neuter adoption agreement. An appointment for services has been scheduled and the adopter will be responsible for transportation and post-surgical care. Appointment information will be provided during the application process and the spay/neuter cost is inclusive of the adoption fee. The adopter is responsible for providing an e-collar and monitoring the incision site for infection. Any post-surgical complications are the responsibility of the adopter and should be treated by the adopter's vet.
If you are unable to accommodate a weekday appointment, we kindly ask that you consider another adoptable cat who is already spayed or neutered.

About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
Ideal Home: Calm and loving
Qualities: Happy, gentle, relaxed.
