Double Adoption with Pepper, #H212672. When tragedy struck Ember and Pepper’s family, they reached out to Animal League America to provide them a more hopeful future. These very bonded brothers have spent their lives together, and although moving to a sun-drenched room in Bianca’s Furry Friends is quite a departure from the quiet home they once enjoyed, they have each other’s backs as they discover a whole new life together. Each is quietly ambling about his room, settling into comfy spots to share together when the exploring is through. They’ve welcomed new relationships easily, always hopeful that their next family will discover them soon. You may find them watching for you by the front window, contentedly accepting overtures of friendship. That’s their easygoing way of admitting that although they miss their past, they’re open to sharing a future with you.

When you come down to NSALA an associate will help you figure out what kind of animal will do best in your situation. At that point they will take out the animals you are interested in so that you may get to know them. You will have plenty of time to play and interact with your new friend in our family friendly areas designated for that purpose. When you decide you want to adopt, an associate will help you fill out an application.

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies (up to 6 months) $350
Adult Dogs (over 6 months) $100
Puppy Mill Rescues $250
Small Breed & Pure Breeds (over 6 months) $250
Kittens (up to 6 months) $100
Double Kittens $150
Adult Cats (over 6 months) $50
Double Adult Cats $75

Where applicable, a $50 Spay/Neuter deposit is required for kittens, $75 for puppies.

Our Adoption Center, is open every Thursday-Sunday 12pm-8pm. On average, our shelter is home to 350 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Behind the scenes, the Adoption Center contains a nursery area, medical examination room and a grooming area where new admissions are health checked, vaccinated, bathed and groomed.

Visitors are reminded that adoption is a lifelong commitment. After selecting a pet, each potential adopter is thoroughly screened, ensuring each adopter recognizes the life-changing commitment a new pet can be. To date, over 1,000,000 pet owners have met our high standards and adopted a pet from North Shore Animal League America.
