My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Edward and I'm looking forward to meeting my forever family!! My foster home tells me I'm a very good boy but to share some more specific details: I'm about 6 months old and am a mixed breed but they also call me the cutest boy. I'm not quite sure how big I'm going to get, but think I'm about 25 lbs right now. I recently moved to Michigan from out of state and can't tell you much about my life before the big move but I am loving being "rescued" so far.

I'm up to date on something called vaccines and I've already been neutered so I'm ready to go home with you asap! I'm working hard on potty training and I'm a good mix of puppy zoomies/playtime and snoozing on the couch, the dog bed, under my foster parents desk, or in your bed Like most dogs, even young puppies like me, I spend a majority of my day snoozing and I definitely like to cuddle when I'm sleepy. I like these dog toy things and I really like treats!! So far I like nylabone toys and the heavy duty kong toy with some peanut butter. When no one is home I spend time in my kennel and usually settle in comfortably after about 20 min. I can be a little nervous around new people at first, but once I've had a little time to get comfortable I have heard my foster call me their "shadow", whatever that is.

My foster home has a fenced yard that I really like!! I might need more practice with leash walking if that's your jam for exercise and burning energy since we haven't tried it very many times. I've seen some squirrels and a rabbit back there and I definitely tried to catch up to them, so it might be best that my forever home doesn't have small pets like kitties and bunnies right now. There's another dog here that's about my age/energy level and we like to wrestle and play together so while I should be fine as an only doggo, I would get along with a dog sibling that matches my style too to help me continue to grow my confidence!

I'm looking forward to meeting my special forever family!! XOXO Edward
