Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Chomp is a youngster (born approximately 6/10/2024). He is a very smart cat who knew exactly whose deck to hide under this fall when his rescuer was mowing his lawn. As soon as the mower was shut off, he came running out for attention and since then, he has been living the inside life after his rescuer wasn’t able to find his previous owners.
He received his name because he likes to nibble on things that he is curious about like sweatshirt strings, strings on toys, and most anything. He became fast friends with Bolt (also on Petfinder) and they need to be adopted together. They spend their days together cuddling, playing, and grooming each other and we don’t want to separate them. Two cats are always better than one!
Chomp has a very loud purr when he is being petted or even just when he is happy being with company. He is a greeter when people arrive and is a little braver than Bolt who may hide initially when someone new comes over. We don’t know how he would be with children or dogs but perhaps with a proper, slow introduction, it may be fine. Chomp loves to play with anything – some favorites are balls in tracks and other small toys that he can play fetch with and carry around in his mouth. Chomp has had a few litter box accidents but we believe that in a new environment where he doesn’t need to be separated from the resident cat in the home who isn’t a fan of him, this will likely stop. Our adoptions start as trial adoptions so if there is an issue, he can always be returned to us but hopefully that will not be the case.
Chomp isn’t a huge fan of being picked up but he likes being petted (including belly rubs) and he enjoys company when he is awake. He is capable of entertaining himself but absolutely prefers having someone to play with whether that is Bolt or a human family member.
Can you help these super sweet young boys by providing them with a new, forever home where they can get all the attention they deserve?
