Eva is an 8-month-old bundle of energy and joy. This goofy girl loves life and makes the most out of every moment. When called, she eagerly comes running with her tail wagging, ready for fun. Eva’s favorite pastime is playing—whether it’s with toys, her leash, or even just a tossed treat, she knows how to make anything entertaining. She also enjoys zooming around with bursts of excitement that are sure to make you smile.
Eva, like any young pup is beginning to learn her manners—she knows “sit,” though sometimes she gets so excited she prefers to jump with joy! Eva takes treats gently and allows all handling, showing her sweet and affectionate side.
If you’re looking for an active and playful companion who will keep you laughing and on your toes, Eva is the perfect match. Are you ready to give this energetic, loving pup the forever home she deserves?
Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Eva at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering her.

Behavior notes:
Per volunteer who brought Eva to an event at Uptown Dogs on 11/30:
A bit jumpy mouthy
Loves rope toys/tug but can get overstimulated
Super sweet & cuddly - loves to snuggle
Takes treats nicely
Would love to meet a dog who will play with her
Rode nicely in the car
Super tolerant of handling - loves touch & scratches
Silly girl loves to roll around on her back
Enjoyed plushies
Very food motivated - learning sit & her name
High energy - energizer bunny!
Per volunteer 11/30: I went to the event at Uptown Dogs and met Eva there and she was absolutely amazing. She was the friendliest, most confident dog there and she’s not even a year old. She has puppy energy but was easily redirected or calmed down with a treat or some snuggles. She is happy playing with you or chewing on a toy by herself. She knows sit but does not appear to be house trained yet. Treat motivated and smart though, so very teachable. She’s a great size (30 lbs) and did well interacting with kids and adults. She LOVES other dogs so would do well with another playful pup. When met with a dog that didn’t want to play, she quickly got the warning and backed off.
Per Volunteer 11/29/24:
Eva greeted me with a very wiggly body at her kennel and was very easy for leashing. She pulls minimally, but she’s a very petite girl so is very easy to guide on leash. Very playful! Did some zoomies and loved chasing squeaky toys. Wiggly with me and jumped up into my lap for pets. She knows sit and takes treats very gently- when she’s waiting for them she’s sooooo wiggly she just wants the treat! Cuddly girl and took pets. Had a nice fence meet with Bailey and did play bows and zoomies. No issues walking or returning to kennel
Per Staff 11/28/24:
BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Eva
KNOWN HISTORY:
Police pickup
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Eva was laying down on her bed and perked up and ran to the front when I called her. She had her front paws on the bars so i dropped a treat for her to get down and leashed her
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulled minimally/moderately
HANDLING:
In the room, Eva ran in with a wagging tail and went to town on the toys. She would go from playing with toys to rolling around with the leash in her mouth and then darting and running laps. She is a high energy and goofy girl. She is very mouthy with play but can be redirected onto toys. She allows all handling and takes treats very nicely. She knows how to sit but prefers to jump up in the air. I tossed around her collar for a while and she was easily amused. This girl can play with anything and still have a good time. She does calm down and can relax without being mouthy but once riled up, it can be a bit much.
PLAY:
Engages in play – mouthy when riled up – use toys
TOYS:
Interest – uses anything as a toy
Per Staff 11/27/24:
11/27/24 9:50pm dog appeared full of puppy energy. Dog Was loose body throughout entire interaction and wanted to play with everyone. Dog will attempt to bite leash due to wanting to play but it’s easily redirected.
