My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tommy, an adult canine with a heart as big as his personality. Despite his shy demeanor, Tommy has a knack for warming up to people and forming strong bonds. He`s the type of dog who would rather spend his days lounging around with his human companions than chasing after a ball. His sweet nature and friendly disposition make him a joy to be around. Tommy`s gentle spirit is perfect for someone looking for a calm, loving companion. His shy nature shouldn`t be mistaken for lack of love; once he gets to know you, his sweetness shines through. Adopt Tommy, not just because he needs a home, but because he has an abundance of love to give and is ready to be your loyal friend.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
