My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you like big mutts? Well HOWDEEE!
My name is Charlie and I'm a beautiful 2 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees mix, already 65 lbs, and recently arrived from Texas! I'm a young guy with a big heart. I'm a gentle, kind soul and I love people, (even kids, but you'll have to help me learn how to be careful with little guys, since I'm going to be BIG), I love dogs, too.

My awesome attributes include being 100% housebroken. I'm fast at learning and want to please my person/people, I can sit and lay down, and my foster mom is really working hard with me on “off”.
I walk pretty nice on a leash, too. I like my toys, but I am not destructive with them. I'm still teething, so chew toys are good, (and I don't try and chew any furniture or stuff like that.) You may want to keep your slippers safe though, til’ I grow up a little..hee hee!😉😂
I really enjoy being out in the yard sniffing and exploring, so a fenced yard would be a must for me. I sure would enjoy a dog buddy to play with, too, but not a deal breaker; you'll just need to keep me busy!
My foster mom says I'm soooo very sweet and I'm kind just a big ole baby. She told me I'm already the best big ole boy ever and I'm growing into an amazing dog!
I'm real proud of myself!
Hey, you wanna meet? Maybe I could be your love bug and new companion!
XOXO
Charlie

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
