Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes
Location: CSHS Adoption & Wellness Center
Meet Sandy, a lovely orange tabby with a sweet and shy personality. This gentle girl may take a little time to warm up to new people and situations, but once she feels comfortable, she's a true sweetheart. Sandy is great with other cats, often found quietly lounging with her feline friends or engaging in calm, friendly interactions. She appreciates a peaceful environment where she can feel secure and safe. Though she might not be the most outgoing at first, with patience and gentle care, Sandy will open up and show her affectionate side. Once she trusts you, expect plenty of soft purrs and quiet companionship. If you're looking for a calm and loving cat who thrives in a multi-cat household and just needs time to settle in, Sandy would be a wonderful addition to your family.
Sandy is about 4.5 years old and is spayed. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
