My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear sweet Patches is looking for a cozy furever home with her sister, Whisper, after their dad recently passed away.
Patches is a little more shy than her sister, but once she warms up, she becomes the happiest and sweetest girl.
Patches and Whisper are both on weight-loss journeys. They're seeking a home that will help them continue their progress and keep up with their current gentle exercise routine in order to keep them happy and healthy!
Despite her current size, Patches gentle nature and loving spirit shine through, and she's eager to find a family that will support her in becoming the best version of herself.

No small children for Patches though please, she has lived a senior life for some time now and small children are not on her wish list.

If you think Patches and Whisper are as beautiful as we do, and think you could give a great home to these senior ladies, please fill out an application below!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
