SIMBA!!

Simba is a 2-year-old red male with natural ears and a docked tail. This happy boy came up to DPRPA from Georgia and soaked up as much attention as he could from his transport volunteers. He is the perfect example of a goofy, loving, velcro red boy.
An ideal furever home for Simba would have a female dog his size to run and play with, a fenced yard, and lots of love! While he knows some commands, he is in need of more work on basic obedience and leash skills, but he is a quick learner. He has not been tested with small animals or cats, so a home without them would be best.
Simba is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all his vaccines, and located in Western PA.

Go meet their pets

All dogs are in foster homes in various parts of central and eastern PA as well as central NJ. We do adopt dogs out of state as long as the potential adopter is willing to drive to where the dog is being fostered for a meet and greet and to take the dog home. We do not ship dogs and we do not have a central location.

DPR of PA, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Pam Taylor and incorporated under its present name in 1989. The organization consists of a network of foster homes around Harrisburg, Reading, and York, PA, as well as central NJ. Foster homes are always needed. If you can foster, please complete our application at https://www.dprpa.org/adopt-foster.

All Dobes that come into our rescue receive a full physical and behavioral exam and temperament evaluation which helps match them with the appropriate family. In addition, all dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations. We also serve as a resource to educate and assist Dober owners and are here to offer knowledgeable advice and answer questions if needed about your Dobe.
