My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This very bashful pup is JoJo. He was picked up by one of our officers, along with his two sisters and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/27. JoJo weighs 40 pounds and is about 8 months old. He is having a hard time feeling relaxed and comfortable with the noise of the dogs barking in the kennels around him and not knowing where he is and what has happened to his family. He is fearful and nervous and will not walk as yet on a leash. It’s possible he has never been on a leash. My guess is that he has not been socialized much. He will need additional interaction, patience and TLC in order to warm up and allow his true nature to shine through. He likes treats. Much of the time I had him in the room where I did his eval, he sat in the same spot. However, after some time he would move about and explore. I believe he will warm up and be very adoptable. I will do a follow up evaluation in a few days to show his progress. Please help this precious boy out of the shelter and on the way to his forever home
