My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet

Broccoli is a social guy looking for his new family. His history is unknown but he has been an excellent resident here at the shelter. Broccoli weighs 65 pounds. Broccoli spent some time in foster and this is what they shared: The nicest guy around
Wants all the pets and Loves couch cuddles, he thinks he is a lap dog Very Eager to learn especially when there is treats involved.
Knows sit, shake, lay down and working on leave it.
Great on leash
Working on house training,
Great with other dogs better with a younger dog though Should be a NO cat home
Should be restrained in a car ride because he likes to sit in your lap no matter what.
Mouthy when playing.
Needs plenty of exercise!

Brocolli went out with Wandering Rovers and they said: We took this sweet boy to the Everett waterfront and hung out at a cafe where he attracted lots of attention (he had a pup cup). After a long walk around the waterfront we went back to our house where he did lots of running around in our large fenced back yard. Once he was all tuckered out he hunkered down on the couch (on top of multiple people) and watched football.
He was up for anything but didn’t seem to care much about playing with toys (he was much more interested in being with people).
He is very goofy and fun but doesn’t quite understand how large he is (he thinks he can fit on a person’s lap). He’s full of love and will make a fantastic addition to a household where he can be taught what behavior is expected of him.

ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT

Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.

How does this work?

First, check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, visit our website (www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet) to complete an online adoption application.

Our staff will review your application and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that we receive many applications, and it may take up to a week before you are contacted.

Adoption appointments are set up using strict social distancing protocols, and many transactions are processed ‘curbside’ outdoors. Our staff will go over appointment details when they speak with you.

Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.

Animals are usually able to go home right away, so be prepared for your new pet to leave with you.
